PMB008 Not Music: Stereolab, Marcos Valle, Wing, The High Llamas

On the show this week we have music from the new Stereolab album, more Cosmic Future Groove, more from the Monroeville Music Center, music from the debut album from Twitter follower and illustrator extraordinaire Frances Castle (aka The Hardy Tree), Marcos Valle and plenty of other surprises.

In addition to the music, MC Zirconium will be telling us about newts learning french, pot-holes filled with chilli and a giant asteroid on course to smash into planet earth.

PMB007: First Lady of the Hammond, Ethel Smith (21/11/2010)

On the show this week we celebrate the imminent 100th anniversary of birth of the First Lady of the Hammond Organ, Ethel Smith. We also have some fabulous retro-futuristic radiophonic pop from the Monroeville Music Center as well as a couple from a new compilation of spaced-out disco from across the gamut of European library music labels - and some nerdcore.

In addition to the music, MC Zirconium may or may not be telling us about talking plants, UFOs landing in Brazil and the Colonel's secret recipe.

PMB006: Into the Valle (14/11/2010)

The show has a distincly latin flavour this week as we celebrate the work of the Boss of the Bossa Nova, Supremo of Samba, Marcos Valle. Valle will be making his first ever visit to Scotland on 22 November when he plays The Voodoo Rooms in Edinburgh.

In addition to music by Marcos Valle, we'll have more from the new Wing album, chiptune, a steel drum version of Caravan and much more.

Plus MC Zirconium may or may not be telling us about Moon real estate, bed bugs run for office in New York City and a cure for baldness.
