The Show
On the show tonight we paid tribute to the late great Johnny Dankworth. We also heard new music from the Sone Institute and Mesak plus some of the tracks we tried to play last week before our 250,000 mile long extension cable got pulled out and we went off air.

MC Zirconium, our chief of disinformation, told us all about Californian space poo, the zero rupee note and a pyjama update.

Johnny Moonbase Playlist, 1 February 2009

Johnny Keating Orchestra - The Clown (The Easy Project - 20 Loungecore Favourites, 1963) 3. Johnny Pearson - Delhi Discotheque (Blow Up Presents Exclusive Blend Volume 1, 1996) 4. Johnny Pineapple - Na Ka Pueo (Hawaiian Holiday) To close the show, something a little off the usual Moonbase radar but one of my musical heroes left us far too young this week: the great singer/songwriter and pioneering guitarist, John Martyn. So I felt we should mark his passing. As it happens, he recorded a great tune with the name "Johnny" in the title: 20. John Martyn - Johnny Too Bad (12" Extended Mix) (The Electric John Martyn, 1980/2003) The News
