Taser International wants to make tasers more trendy and fun, especially for women. The C2 is available in leopard print and hot pink. There's even an MP3 player that attaches to the device. Messenger to Mercury NASA's Messenger spacecraft (MErcury Surface, Space ENvironment, GEochemistry, and Rangingr) will fly by Mercury on Monday, the first visit to the world in the 33 years since Mariner 10 in 1975. "During this flyby we will begin to image the hemisphere that has never been seen by a spacecraft and Mercury at resolutions better than those acquired by Mariner 10. Images will be in a number of different colour filters so that we can start to get an idea of the composition of the surface." said Sean C Solomon, Messenger principal investigator Motion to abolish Church of England is Motion #666 A motion calling for the disestablishment of the Church of England has been listed in the House of Commons as 666 - the Number of the Beast. Labour MP John Austin, put down his latest motion as MPs debated scrapping Britain's blasphemy laws. It appeared on the House of Commons order paper numbered 666, the number associated with the Antichrist in the Book of Revelation. To quote The King James Bible 13:18 "Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six." Missing bridge Scrap metal thieves in Russia managed to steal a 200-tonne steel bridge without anyone noticing. The whole 11.5m (38ft) structure in Khabarovsk in the east of the country vanished overnight. Bosses at the company said the cost of replacing the bridge would be ten times the value of the scrap metal that had been stolen. They plan to replace the bridge with one made of concrete. This is not the first time someone has stolen a bridge - another bridge theft occurred in Russia last September, and there was another in Macedonia last February. The best thing about this story is the caption under the photo: "The same picture of a bridge we use every time there's a story about someone stealing a bridge." Extreme Tank Wheelchair The second generation of the Tank Chair is upon us, with a 24v, 2hp, 127rpm variable speed motor powered by four Optima Deep Cycle batteries. It also has a 22:1 gear ratio and it can handle a 10% incline with no problems. It looks like a cushioned seat you might find in a Merc with triangular tank tracks on either side for those off road excursions. If you're one of those fluffy cat/take over the world guys, this is the chair to do it from. Belkin Washable Mouse Having your grubby hands on a mouse for most of the day is a common occurrence. That can result in some dirt and grime, which Belkin is ready to tackle. Their new mouse is completely sealed allowing the mouse to be washed easily. Some reviewers decided to use the mouse while submerged in oatmeal, chili, chocolate pudding and even cheesy poofs. The result? after every dunking, the mouse washed off perfectly. Science's greatest achievement: choco-strawberries Using Infusion Technology, a Japanese company called FCOM has worked out how to change the flavor of strawberries by freeze-drying the strawberries, then removing all the water from them.
