PMB029 Rhythmagic: Rhythmagic Orchestra, Machito, Jonny Trunk, Majid Khan, High Llamas, Bob Lyons, Peter Reno

On the show this week we find ourselves catching up with some recent releases and reissues including the new yet old sounds of the Rhythmagic Orchestra, some classic afro-cuban loveliness from Machito, Jonny Trunk on Ghost Box, a track from the new High Llamas album, more from the vaults of EMI Pakistan as well as an extraordinary new genre: pan-pipe disco. We also introduce a brand new feature: Poetry Corner, with your host the Dalek Vicar.

PMB028 Finny Fonal: Fonal Records, Laika and the Cosmonauts, Aavikko, Frederik

On the show this week we celebrate all things Finnish as every track on the show hails from that Nordic nation. This was prompted by a desire to feature a wonderful Finnish label by the name of Fonal Records who have been producing some quite extraordinary sounds over the last few years. In addition to the Fonality we also have music from old favourites Laika and Cosmonauts, Aavikko, Jimi Tenor and a new discovery to us here at the Moonbase, Frederik!
